Introducing new sports physiotherapist Shane

Please join us in welcoming Shane our newest member of the team, joining in 2017. Shane qualified with first class honours in Physiotherapy from the University of Nottingham and also has both the HCPC and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy memberships, allowing him to be covered by most health insurers.

With a particular interest in sports physiotherapy, Shane has taken courses in sports massage, kinesiology taping and protective sports taping. Having played rugby all his life, he has a great enthusiasm for the sport and currently works with the Ealing Trailfinders Academy. Here he provides both mid-week and match day assessment and treatment for young athletes with advice on clearance to play.

Shane also has a particular interest in athletic performance and injury prevention, working with the Ealing strength and conditioning team to help minimise the likelihood of sustaining injuries. He carries this understanding of the demands placed on a physically active body to his clinic work, delivering treatment and advice to clients who aim to maintain an active lifestyle.

Shane enjoys utilising a combination of exercise-based and soft tissue techniques for clients and believes in the benefits of a hands-on approach. In his spare time Shane is an avid rugby and squash player, and enjoys developing strength and fitness programmes.

Shane is available for Physiotherapy appointments in Berkhamsted on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
